Ballygally Breakaway

Ballygally Break Away is a ground-floor, self-contained apartment with its entrance door & double French doors. It’s part of a split-level detached family home.

It can sleep up to 8 people (4 adults, and 4 kids). The separate adjoining bedroom has a kingsized bed.

Use of the Hawaii Limited Edition hot tub on raised decking is an optional additional extra @ £20 per couple or £25 per family per day/night.

It’s a 5 min walk to the beach & a 5min drive to Carnfunnock Park, Cairndhu Golf Club, and the pub.

The space

The spacious open-plan room is divided up into specifically zoned areas: a lounge; kitchen, dining & bedroom area with a double bed. There are oil heating & radiators in this area that has thermostatic valves. There is an adjoining large separate bedroom with a king-size bed.

The lounge hosts a large widescreen wall-mounted television with free sky channels, a DVD player, Alexa, digital radio, a very comfortable black leatherette corner sofa & cushions which can convert into a double bed (suitable for 2 children).

The kitchen area at the window has a long length of the worktop; kettle, toaster, cooker, extractor fan, fridge with small freezer, microwave, wine cooler, fridge & washing machine. There are views over the Sallagh Braes (Knockdhu & Scawt Hill).

There’s a dining table seating 4 people situated at double French uPVC doors leading onto a private, secure garden area, in summer it’s a sun trap in the afternoon & evening. There’s an outdoor picnic table, chairs & barbecue area with views over the sea & coastline. You can see the Paps of Jura, Scotland on a clear day!

The adjoining separate bedroom has a kingsize bed, wall-mounted smart tv for Netflix, and YouTube etc, a sofa that converts into a double bed (suitable for 2 children); mirrored slide robes & a vanity sink unit with Holywood lighting.

There’s an electric shower, toilet, shaving plug & shaving mirror in the en-suite bathroom.

In the open plan zoned area, a large modern grey gloss 16-cubed Kallax Unit with storage boxes forms a partition to visually screen off the zoned lounge & bedroom area (which can sleep 2 adults in a double bed).

The adjoining separate bedroom has a kingsize bed, wall-mounted smart tv for Netflix, and YouTube etc, a sofa that converts into a double bed (suitable for 2 children); mirrored slide robes & a vanity sink unit with Holywood lighting.

The entire self-contained apartment can sleep up to a maximum of 4 adults & 4 kids. High chairs, travel cots with bedding & blankets can be provided for babies/toddlers.

The storage boxes in the 16-cubed Kallax unit contain kids’ toys, Legos, board games, DVDs, CDs, adult & kids’ books, puzzles, local information on what to see & do, maps, food takeaway menus etc.

A Complimentary starter basket is provided as basic toiletries, towels, bedding, dressing gowns & slippers (for the adults) all provided for our guests.

Guest access

There’s a large raised decking area with 2 pergolas to the rear of the property.

This hosts a Hawaii Limited Edition hot tub (an optional, additional extra) with a £20 – £25 daily fee to cover the chemicals (includes the sanitisation/ ozone cleaning system), cost of electricity to maintain an approx. 38-degree heat, & its daily maintenance.

The hot tub has two 2hr filter cycles spaced 12hrs apart for the effective sanitisation & filtration of the tub. It is not advisable to use the hot tub during filter cycles. These cycles are from noon – 2 pm & midnight – 2 am. Guests can use the hot tub from 08:00 – 11:45 & 14:00 – 23.30.

The hot tub temperature is usually between 37-40 degrees for adults & around 35/36 degrees for children.

There is a mini speaker system which can be operated from your mobile using Bluetooth.

If guests are staying in Ballygally Break Away for 3 nights but would only like the hot tub on 2 of the days/nights, the total extra would be £40 per couple or £50 per family.

We live in a quiet residential area & are respectful of our neighbours. We also expect our guests to adhere to these hot tub times & keep outdoor noise to a minimum.

The additional hot tub fee is to be paid in cash on guests’ arrival/check-in to Ballygally Break Away.
